What is Access Fingringhoe?

Access Fingringhoe is a project that is being run in and around Fingringhoe. The project aims to work with the community to;

  • Improve the green space in and around Fingringhoe
  • Improve footpaths in the local area
  • Incorporate education in the natural environment
  • Install wildlife information panels
  • Provide information about the quarrying process
  • Make a plan for future work to improve access to the countryside, and increase biodiversity in and around Fingringhoe.

What benefits will the project bring?

  • Improved local surroundings
  • Increased wildlife in Fingringhoe
  • Improved access to green areas
  • Fun!

But we need your help

To succeed at this project we are going to need your help: specifically in 3 different areas. Firstly we need your knowledge and ideas on access problems in the area and how they can be improved. We need volunteers to go on nature walks to gather information on the biodiversity in Fingringhoe. Thirdly we need help researching and designing information panels. These activities will be managed through a combination of meetings and nature walks. We value your ideas, opinions and enthusiasm. With you, the project can exceed these aims.

When is this project going to start?

This is happening now! The project needs to be completed by March so time is of the essence. The main bulk of volunteer work will happen during January and February.
